Salary negotiation demands met: Mobile phones to all and changes to travels in your spare time

The Industry Energy Equinor demand to offer all employees in Equinor ASA a company paid mobile phone was met, as part of the local salary negotiations in August 2022. This implies that all tariff employees offshore and onshore will be offered a company paid mobile phone
We also got a breakthrough for a change in the Special agreement point 6.1 Travel in spare time.

The goal was that employees could order mobile phone from year end 2022. The company had readied the technical solution for ordering, but due to delivery challenges, no orders for phones could be done through the Insight portal until January 2023.

There is, however, a large order for mobile phones to be executed, in a market experiencing long delays in the global supply chains. This has been further disrupted due to new Covid-19 lock down in China.

-We are happy that the solution is finally available after the 2022 negotiations. We hope the delivery challenges will be solved and that the employees will not have to wait too long, says deputy leader Industry Energy Equinor, Trine Hansen Stavland.

Imposed travel in spare time – Special agreement pt. 6.1

One of our demands in the salary negotiations was that the start-up time for imposed travel compensation should be changed from 19:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. The demand was met with effect from 01.01.2023 (there were some start-up challenges in SAP recently fixed).

Active travel time in the period Monday to Friday between 17:00 and 09:00 (night period) will be compensated hour by hour as saleable time-off. No more than 8 hour time-off per night period.
Weekends and holidays in Norway used for travel or work during travel and which are not compensated by overtime pay, may be taken as time-off hour by hour when agreed with leader.
Exception: Travels to/from home in connection with fixed posting.
A maximum of 8 hours per day can be earned. For onshore shift personnel, the regulation is valid for imposed travel in free shifts of at least 32 hours duration.

Active travel time is defined as transfer to/from destination; between home/office and office/hotel at destination.
Hotel stay is not active travel time.
Commenced half-hour will be counted as one half-hour.
